Carleen Penoza is the Chief Nursing Informatics Officer for Michigan Medicine-University of Michigan Health. She has 20 years of Informatics/IT experience and 10 years of direct care clinical experience. Carleen has been with Michigan Medicine since 2015, having progressive roles of inpatient applications director and interim senior director of clinical and operational applications. Prior to joining Michigan Medicine, Carleen worked at Corewell Health, with roles including clinical and managerial experience in the pediatric intensive unit, as well as progressive leadership roles in clinical informatics and information technology.
On a personal note, Carleen has 2 adult children, a wonderful husband, and an adorable rescue dog named Bonnie. She loves to travel, ski, bike, and horseback ride.
