🕒 Full-Time | On-Site/Hybrid | $85k-$95K | Contract or Direct Hire ***Contract Hourly between $55-$70 per Hour***
Are you passionate about improving healthcare through technology? We're seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to help drive innovation, efficiency, and quality across our clinical systems and workflows.
In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with clinicians, IT professionals, and operational leaders to design, implement, and optimize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other clinical technology solutions. You'll play a key role in ensuring our systems support exceptional patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards.
What You'll Do
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of EHR systems and clinical informatics tools.
Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess workflow needs and develop technology-driven solutions.
Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and interfaces to support clinical decision-making.
Oversee data integration, interoperability, and quality initiatives across departments.
Provide training and support to end users, ensuring adoption and effective use of health IT tools.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security, and data privacy regulations.
Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in clinical informatics.
What We're Looking For
Education & Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or a related field required.
Master's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related discipline preferred.
Current RN license in the State of New Mexico (or eligibility for reciprocity).
Clinical Informatics certification (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS) preferred.
BLS certification required (may be obtained within 3 months of hire).
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in health informatics, EHR management, or a related role.
Hands-on experience with Cerner or another major EHR platform required.
Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
