  • Opportunity to Give on November 13th

We have a wonderful opportunity to partner with Community Crossroads to help collect food to fill Thanksgiving baskets for families in need.  They will also be contributing a turkey for all the baskets.  I have attached a list of the foods that they will need to fill the baskets.  If you want to help contribute, I will be picking up any donated items at NRH2O on Sunday, November 13th from 2 pm to 3 pm.  This is a fantastic way to help so many families that would otherwise not be able to have a Thanksgiving meal.  Please consider collecting at your office or from friends and bring your donations on the 13th so I can get them to Community Crossroads for distribution the next week.

Also, if you do not have plans for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, November 23rd; they are looking for people to assist in serving a Thanksgiving meal to the homeless in the area that they serve.  If you are interested in doing this, you will need to be at Community Crossroads by 6 pm and serve until around 7 pm.  They are extremely excited that this is the first year that they will be offering this service and want to make sure it is successful so they can continue to offer it in the future.  The address is 1516 Hemphill St, Fort Worth, 76104. They welcome anyone's assistance.

Thank you once again for being willing to assist those in need in our community.

  • Employee Onboarding: How We Successfully Adapted in a Pandemic

    Hello,
Please see below for a free CE Webinar Event hosted by the South Florida ANIA Chapter.

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. While the world took cover, healthcare heroes came out and got the job done but in order to start that job, they first needed to be on boarded. Turning to the virtual world to make this possible, the informatics training team took center stage in facilitating new employee orientation, conducting provider trainings remotely and onboarding new residents to our health system. Despite the challenges faced, the informatics team pivoted and rose to the challenge, successfully onboarding over 200 residents that summer and each summer moving forward along with hundreds of new employees both clinical and non-clinical. Join us for a lunchtime educational session on how a multi-hospital organization successfully went from in-person to virtual employee onboarding overnight.
