Board Elections - 2018 Candidates

VICE PRESIDENT

Jasmine Davis, MSN, RN-BC

I would like to be considered for the Vice President position. I am from Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland Nursing Informatics program in May 2014. I have moved to California for my career and would love to continue to be involved in my position and ANIA participation.

I am a motivated, reliable and hard-working professional with experience as an “at the elbow” Epic Site Support. I am currently a Training Specialist at Memorial Care Health System. I am an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, through tip sheets, checklists, and a variety of training material. I work well with a team or as a motivator to build a rapport to ensure excellent service and satisfaction. I am goal-oriented with strong project management abilities who manages resources effectively (lean) while prioritizing responsibilities to meet time-sensitive deadlines. I am a dependable Registered Nurse that is ANCC board certified in Nursing Informatics, and Epic Clinical Documentation certified with a Clinical Case Management badge.

I have been a member of ANIA and an active participant in the Communication and Social media committee since the SoCal chapter began. It has been a pleasure watching the entire chapter grow. All of the committees, education, membership, and social media, collaborate to further expand our chapter and have been very successful thus far. I would like to continue with that growth and collaboration. Thank you for your time and consideration for the Vice President position of the ANIA SoCal chapter.

SECRETARY

Victoria Marone, BSN

I am running for the position of Secretary of our American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) SoCal Board. I look to become more involved due to the passion for nursing informatics that I have developed over my six years in this nursing specialty.

As a nursing professional, I take pride in developing workflows to promote safe patient care and thrive on being a part of innovation. I enjoy working collaboratively with others and had the privilege to lead computerized physician order entry implementation across four hospitals as well as the successful qualification of these facilities for Meaningful Use.

Currently, I work as a Clinical Informatics Specialist at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach where I focus on system-wide support of our electronic medical records. During my tenure, I have applied my knowledge of informatics and nursing practice both within the patient care environments and across the organization, to implement electronic processes, improving safety and efficiency.

I am a registered nurse with over twenty-five years of clinical and leadership experience in maternal-child health and have excellent organizational and documentation skills. I am an active member of SoCal chapter of ANIA and am eager to become more involved. I look forward to the opportunity to carry on the great work that the SoCal Chapter Board has been doing in supporting and growing this amazing professional organization.

CO-CHAIR: COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Stesha Selsky, MSN, RN-BC

I have served on the Communication and Social Media Committee since its inception in 2015 and have had a wonderful experience maintaining the ANIA SoCal chapter website.  If elected as a Co-Chair of the Communication and Social Media Committee I will continue the effort to create useful ways of providing information to our members in the ANIA So Cal Chapter.  I also believe we can optimize the content for communication and the methods for sending out information using social media platforms.

A little about me, I have been a registered nurse since 2012 and a nurse informaticist since 2014 at UCLA Health. I attended Duke University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and Cal State University, Dominguez Hills for my Masters in Nursing Administration. I also hold the ANCC nursing informatics certification.
