Jean Dowling Dols, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE
Dr. Jean Dols is the current President of South Texas ANIA. An Associate Professor at the University of the Incarnate Word, Dr. Dols teaches in the graduate nursing programs. Dr. Dols has also served as the Chief Information Officer for a 3 hospital/12 community clinic healthcare system, as the System Director for Nursing of a 23 hospital system, and the Director of Computer Education & Resources. Dr. Dols is certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Danielle Gunter, PhD, MS, RN
Dr. Danielle Gunter has been a nurse for thirteen years and is also a certified pediatric nurse. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Memphis in 2002. After graduation she began working at St. Jude's Children Research Hospital. In 2007, she earned her master's degree from the University of the Incarnate Word, and her PhD in Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler. She has served the community at Incarnate Word in the School of Nursing and Health Professions for the last eight years. She teaches courses focused on leadership, communication, professionalism, quality improvement, and patient outcomes in the clinical nurse leader graduate and traditional undergraduate programs. Her interest in nursing informatics included ensuring the informatics systems are user-friendly while still collecting the data needed to appropriately address patient outcome concerns and quality improvement.

Heather Litwhiler, MSN, RN, CNE
Heather is an Instructor of Nursing at UIW Bachelors of Science Nursing Program where she instructs students in the first semester of nursing classes. She is the course coordinator for Patient Care Technologies, a course that teaches students the Fundamental skills and appropriate use of technology in health care system. Her interest has been utilizing technology at the bedside with early computerized charting systems in US Army installations specifically at Martin Army Community Hospital, Ft. Benning GA.

Maria Faison, MSN, RN
Maria is a veteran of the US Army Nurse Corp with two deployments to Iraq, specializing in Trauma and Intensive Care. She received her ADN in 1998 and her BSN from University of the Incarnate Word in 2007. Originally from NYC, she moved to San Antonio after her first deployment in 2006. Much of her work had been in Brooke Army Medical Center and within the DoD. After her service in the Army, she began working with the Joint Theater Trauma Registry as a Trauma Nurse Abstractor, then following the receipt of her Master's Degree in Informatics in 2013 from Walden University, she worked for the Air Force Medical Operations Agency (AFMOA) as the SME for Health Informatics implementing and sustaining secure messaging throughout the military treatment facilities. Currently, Maria is working for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Health Information Technology Directorate as a Project Manager in charge of implementing health technology initiatives throughout the Navy. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Walden University.
