Dr. Carolyn S. Harmon is a Professor and Director of Healthcare Leadership and Nursing Informatics at the University of South Carolina, where she also serves as a Nurse Scientist for the ACORN Center, a Propel AI Scholar, and a Provost’s AI Teaching Fellow. She holds a PhD from the University of South Carolina and a DNP from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Harmon is ANCC Board Certified in Nursing Informatics, a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, DataCamp AI Certified, and an Amy V. Cockcroft Leadership Fellow. She is also a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. Dr. Harmon is the Past President of the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) and currently chairs the Artificial Intelligence Subgroup of the Learning Collaborative for Digital Health Workgroup and co-chairs the policy and advocacy workgroup within the Nursing Knowledge Big Data Science Initiative.
