Karen has spent a significant portion of her 39-year nursing career in leadership roles within a variety of practice settings: Critical Care, Emergency, Women’s Services, Newborn, NICU and currently Informatics. She transitioned to nursing informatics five years ago at Prisma Health-Upstate. She received an ADN from the University of South Carolina, a BSN from Regis University, and completed an MSN in Nursing Administration at MUSC. Karen strongly believes in the work  professional organizations do to support and promote specialty practice in nursing including ANIA's opportunities for informatics education. Karen is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society. She is dually ANCC board certified in as an Informatics Nurse and Nurse Executive. Karen has served as SCeNIC since January 2019. She is working with the rest of the SCeNIC board to promote the chapter and grow its membership. 



Christine is an ANCC board certified informatics nurse with 24 years of nursing practice experience. She is the Director of Nursing Informatics at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System leading technology adoption and systems implementations for over 12 years, 5 of which as a system Six Sigma Black Belt facilitating process redesign.  In 2008, Christine received the South Carolina Palmetto Gold Award. She is actively engaged in other national informatics-related organizations - with HIMSS on the Nursing Informatics Executive Engagement Workgroup and with AMIA on the Health Informatics Practice Analysis Focus Panel. Christine is married with one child. She spends her free time restoring her historic home in Newberry, SC and researching her family's genealogy.



Claudia is an ANCC board certified informatics nurse. This year, Claudia celebrates 40 years as a registered nurse. She is an Informatics Specialist at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina.  She previously served as Nurse Manager and Supervisor for 25 years in Women’s Health. She began her career at Greenville General Hospital where her introduction to information technology began by changing colors of the ink used in schedules based on the shifts worked! Claudia resides in Greenville, SC with her dog named Teddy. She has two children and three grand-children. She frequents local Highland Games and Charlotte and Atlanta Dragway racing.







Kelly completed her AS in Nursing in 2008 and earned her BS in Nursing in 2014. Currently , she is pursuing a MS in Nursing Informatics from Western Governors University. In 2017, Kelly received the South Carolina Palmetto Gold Award. She has worked in health care for 19 years in a variety of clinical positions.  In her current role as a Nursing Informatics Analyst for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, she serves as the nursing lead for the development of evidence-based care plans that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and positive patient outcomes.  She has served on numerous other clinical committees and as project lead for health information technology implementations and optimizationsKelly is an active member of HIMSS and ANIA.  She is married with two children.
