Cindy Phipps, MSN, RN-BC
Cindy is a Principal Nurse Informatics Specialist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Cindy began her nursing career as a medical oncology nurse in 1998. She transitioned to the Cardiovascular ICU where she served as a charge nurse for 9 years. Cindy has also worked as a transfer coordinator for 4 years before transitioning to a nursing informatics role in 2015. Cindy obtained her master’s degree in nursing informatics from Walden University and is ANCC Board Certified in Nursing Informatics. She enjoys being a part of the American Nursing Informatics Association and is excited at the opportunity to become more involved in the TN Chapter as the Communications Director. In her free time, she likes spending time with family and friends and loving on her 4 cats and 2 dogs.
