Bio

Sherri Duarte is the Nursing Informatics Sr Project Manager in the Center for Pediatric Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Her role is focused on managing all aspects of a nursing dashboard project utilizing data from several sources designed to support nursing management and inform nursing practice.

Sherri earned her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992, Master’s in Health Care Informatics from Grand Canyon University in 2012, and DNP - Informatics from the University of Arizona in 2022. Her 20+ years of clinical experience was focused mostly in the Emergency Department but includes Pre-op/PACU, Critical Care education, and air and ground ambulance transport. She has been in Health IT for over 6 years in various roles including Credentialed Trainer, Application Analyst and Supervisor, Manager – IT Applications as well as her current position. She is a ANCC-certified Informatics Nurse, a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), and a Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP). Sherri is certified in ITIL Foundations - IT Service Management and the Epic OpTime, Anesthesia, and ASAP applications. She enjoys bringing her nursing knowledge to IT and helping non-clinical staff understand the impact technology has on clinical users and, ultimately, patients and patient outcomes. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband, David, a chef, and their four dogs.
