Sherri Duarte is the Director – IT Customer Relationship Management for Nursing/Consumers at HonorHealth. Her role is focused on developing and maintaining relations with executive leaders ensuring IT is a strategic partner, acting as a liaison between organizational clinical and business partners and IT in order to understand the needs and opportunities of nurses and patients as consumers, and serving as a conduit of communication providing feedback and ensuring customer needs are met.
Sherri earned her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and Master’s in Health Care Informatics from Grand Canyon University in 2012. Her 20+ years of clinical experience was focused mostly in the Emergency Department but includes Pre-op/PACU, Critical Care education, and air and ground ambulance transport. She has been in Health IT for over 6 years in various roles including Credentialed Trainer, Application Analyst and Supervisor, Manager – IT Applications as well as her current position. She is certified in ITIL Foundations v3 and the Epic OpTime and Anesthesia Applications. Sherri enjoys bringing her nursing knowledge to IT and helping non-clinical staff understand the impact technology has on clinical users and, ultimately, patients and patient outcomes. She lives in Phoenix with her husband, David, a chef, and their four dogs.
