I've worked in the healthcare industry since October 1996, starting as a file clerk for Business Services at AnMed Health Medical Center. I was later given a position as Billing Specialist, filing claims and liabilities, until I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2001. After that I worked 6 years as a staff nurse in Orthopedics learning the ends and outs of Medical-Surgical care, before taking a position as a Nursing Informatics Specialist.

I received my Master's degree in Nursing Education from Clemson University, May 13, 2011. I had been using my degree as an educator at Anderson University's School of Nursing in Anderson, SC. Due to the needs of my family, I resigned my position as Assistant Professor/Simulation Coordinator.

I am currently a Lecturer for the Second Degree Program at the Clemson University School of Nursing for the University Center of Greenville.

I was accepted into the PhD program at the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University, and have begun that program.
