  • 1.  Change Management Policy?

    Good Morning!

    I'm looking for a way to improve our change management process within our department. 

    Our current process is that we receive a request for a change within the EMR, we review the request (clarify any questions) and then take it to our clinical advisory board (CAB) for review/approval. Once that approval is made, we mock up the changes in TEST and then send them to the requestor for their approval. 

    It is not a very efficient process... our CAB only meets every 2 weeks so no work will be done on those requests until after the next CAB meeting. 

    I'm curious what everyone else does - if you could share, it would be much appreciated.

    I am fairly new to my organization and their change management processes have been a bit of a struggle for me as well. I would also be curious to know what is working well for others. Bonus points if you are in a FQHC/PCMH/clinic type setting. Thanks!
