  • 2021 Greater Delaware Valley ANIA Chapter Scholarship Recipient

We are excited to announce that Marisa McCarthy has been selected to receive the 2021 Greater Delaware Valley (GDV) ANIA Chapter Scholarship.
    Marisa McCarthy
Applications were reviewed by a group of GDV-ANIA Chapter Executive Board members and the student winner was selected based upon the academic criteria and response to the three essay questions. The eleven scholarship candidates this year were all highly qualified and worthy recipients, making for a difficult decision for the Scholarship Committee.

Spotlighting this year’s recipient, Marisa McCarthy is enrolled as a nursing student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Full-time Accelerated Coursework Track (FACT) program at Jefferson College of Nursing. In the submitted essay, Ms. McCarthy shared real-life experiences about pursuing academics, providing patient care, being a liaison, and applying data analytics, while demonstrating a passion for a data-driven career, a perfect blend of qualities for an informaticist.

Congratulations Marisa McCarthy and best wishes for a successful nursing career!
