I've worked in the healthcare industry since October 1996, starting as a file clerk for Business Services at AnMed Health Medical Center and as a nurse educator at Clemson University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree on May 11, 2001, from Clemson University. Later, I earned my Master's degree in Nursing Education from Clemson University on May 13, 2011. I earned my PhD in Nursing from the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University on August 20, 2022. I am currently an Assistant Professor at the Clemson University School of Nursing. I am an affiliate member of the Clemson University Virtual Reality and Nature (VRN) Lab and the Center of Addictions and Mental Health Research (CAMHR). I also serve on the Mental Health America Board of Directors for Anderson County, Commission Chair for Professional Advocacy and Development for the South Carolina Nurses Association (SCNA), and a Leadership Succession Committee Member for the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA). I am a Past President of the South Carolina Nurses Foundation (SCNF) and the Gamma Mu Chapter of Sigma, International Honor Society of Nursing. I hold certifications as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and an Informatics Nurse Board Certification (NI-BC).
