    Happy Friday!  Just a reminder to RSVP for our upcoming chapter meeting.

    Please join us on April 20th at 12pm CT to hear from Dr. Joretta Barron about her experience as a DNP student and her project, "Quality Improvement Initiative: Implementing Quick Sequential Organ Failure Assessment Screen in Response to an Automated Sepsis Alert."

    Joretta Barron received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with an Informatics focus from the University of Alabama in Huntsville on March 9, 2021. The focus of her dissertation was on sepsis screening.  As part of her dissertation, she implemented the QSOFA screening in response to an automated sepsis alert going directly to the nurses’ on a mobile shared devices. Her project was identified as an exemplary project to be shared with future incoming DNP students.  Joretta will be sharing her project and her journey as a DNP student.
