  • Jennifer Meyer the Director of Clinical and Operational Informatics at UPMC Hamot/ UPMC Chautauqua. Her role includes eRecord training/education in addition to providing end-user support with clinical documentation, new technology projects, project management, and application support.
    She has MSN in nursing informatics from Chamberlain University and her ANCC informatics certification. She is very passionate about informatics and change management to improve clinicians' workflow to create great patient outcomes.
    Prior to her current role she worked as an informatics nurse educator at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) for 7 years, where she honed her informatics, education, and project management skills. She earned Epic certifications in ASAP, Homecare/Hospice, and Principal Trainer. As a principal trainer she taught Epic ASAP (ED), Ambulatory, Inpatient, Optime (Surgical), Radiant, and Homecare/Hospice. She was also responsible for updating and build for NCH’s train environment.  
    Jenn started her nursing career in 2006 working in ICU then became an ED nurse. She worked around Columbus as an ED travel nurse for several years. Eventually, she started at Nationwide Children’s in their Endocrine dept/clinic where she became an Epic Superuser.  Informatics is her absolute favorite because she not only helps with pt outcomes but is instrumental in helping her fellow colleagues/coworkers with their workflows/documentation/technology support.
