Primary focus for 2016-17 will be working with the vendors and facilities to map and validate eCQM's for submission to meet IQR and MU requirements. Working with ambulatory practices to move into the era of MACRA to replace MU.
Previously worked with Community Health Systems (CHS) as a Manager of Clinical Informatics responsible for the former Health Management Associates (HMA) hospitals which are on an internally developed EHR (PULSE) and associated modules by other vendors for CPOE/BCMA. Work with the Clinical Systems Analysts in the facilities to improve adoption of the EHR by providers and other clinical users.
Previously worked with HMA (acquired by CHS) as the Subject Matter Expert on the Meaningful Use project. Certified internally-developed modules through CCHIT and ICSA. Worked with vendors to upgrade and deploy 2014 Edition certified versions of products. Participated in development of a Clinical Decision Support module. Worked with nursing leadership to ensure smooth transition to the new upgrades and processes with minimal workflow impact at the bedside while improving patient safety and quality of care. Also served as Clinical Lead on Health Information Exchange project (Vendor - Medicity) for enterprise implementation. Provided clinical architecture and clinical support for interface group to insure interoperability of disparate clinical systems within and outside of HIE.
