Improving Care Outcomes: Start with Standardized Nursing Knowledge Information Models

ANIA Midwest will be hosting an educational webinar presented by Mari Akre PhD, RN, NEA-BC, CPHIMS and Meg Furukawa, MN, RN-BC, CNS.
Mari & Meg will help attendees understand Nursing knowledge-based models (NKIMs) and their importance to nursing informatics. The session will describe the application-based conceptual work of the the virtual advanced practice nursing informatics workgroup from the Nursing Knowledge: Big Data Science Initiative.
Learning objectives include:
1. Define standardized Nursing Knowledge-based Information Model
2. Describe benefits of a standardized information model for nursing practice and outcomes
3. Discuss the validation process for a Nursing Knowledge-based Information model based on flowsheet metadata.
