Redesign of a Graduate Nursing Informatics program to Align with National Initiatives

When:  Jul 25, 2023 from 12:00 to 13:00 (CT)

Join us on July 25, 2023 at Noon to 1 pm Central (1 pm to 2 pm Eastern) for an educational webinar "Redesign of a Graduate Nursing Informatics program to Align with National Initiatives and Industry Trends" presented by Robin Austin, PhD, DNP, DC, RN-BC, FAMIA, FNAP, Assistant Professor, School of Nursing, University of Minnesota and Sripriya Rajamani, MBBS, PhD, MPH, FAMIA, Clinical Associate Professor, School of Nursing, University of Minnesota.

Due to the digital revolution in healthcare and the growing recognition of the crucial role played by nurse informaticists in both daily operations and leadership positions, there is an increasing demand for informatics professionals in the population health field. As a result, more training options are needed.  Presenters will discuss key drivers and refinements made to the UMN Nursing program to meet this important demand.

Learning objectives include:
1.  Articulate nursing informatics training options available at the University of Minnesota
2.  Understand the national initiatives that support nursing informatics education
3.  Describe the critical need for informatics training in the current nursing workforce

Pre-registration, email, session attendance, and survey completion are required for Nursing Professional Development Continuing Education credit. Credit is offered in conjunction with Indiana University Health.  Indiana University Health is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Maryland Nurses Association.  The Maryland Nurses Association will award contact hours in adherence with American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.  Participants will earn one contact hour commensurate with participation and submission of the evaluation.

If the follow-up survey does not arrive as expected, please check your junk or spam folders (many organizations have strengthened security with external email).  Also consider using a personal email for registration of organizational firewalls prohibit delivery. When registering, please look carefully at your input email as miskeys can make things challenging.  The email entered into the registration  will be the email used to send post-session surveys.  The continuing education office and ANIA Midwest will not verify emails are correct or ensure emails are received.
