    Clinical Information Analyst supporting TMC inpatient services. Position includes support of Power Chart (Cerner), education, training, support of bundle releases/upgrades and multli-disciplinary applications at the Texas Medical Center (TMC) Campus.

    BASIC FUNCTION: Position is responsible for planning, reviewing, and implementing all activities and functions of clinical transformation using Information Technology, providing ongoing managerial, technical and motivational leadership while supporting the values and objectives of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.

    The Clinical Information Analyst will participate in clinical transformation through careful analysis of current processes and workflows and change management strategies that align with our strategic plan, leveraging available resources, metrics, benchmarks; and system standards across the enterprise. Transformation comes with a patient's view of continuation of care, department view of integration, and a clinician's view of best practice. The Clinical Information Analyst will work closely with system and campus leadership and resources to assist in the design of the CIS system and build consensus around the process, workflow, and content for the CIS.

    The Clinical Information Analyst must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills required in a large, complex corporate Information System. The Clinical Information Analyst applies change management and technical skills in line with the values and goals of MHHS to ensure the efficient, effective and consistent delivery of high quality services. The Clinical Information Analyst is responsible for translating process and workflow decisions into educational materials leveraging change management and adult learning principles. The Clinical Information Analyst demonstrates a commitment to the values of the corporation through active participation in the Partners in Caring, Customer Service, Six Sigma, and Continuous Quality Improvement programs._

    Minimum Qualifications
    A Clinician with accredited licensure and/or certification (for example: Registered Nurse, Licensed Social Worker, or medical school graduate with equivalent medical practice experience).
    Requires at least five years of experience in direct patient care in an acute care setting, preferably with at least three years of experience with direct contact with clinician computer use, and some experience in applied systems development 3. Position requires experience in change management, clinical informatics, project management, quality improvement methods and tools, data analysis methods and tools, decision support methods and tools, and electronic health records 4. Industry training and experience in the implementation of large and complex Information Systems in a healthcare environment 5. Advanced knowledge of information technology and Microsoft Office tools, including experience in workflow documentation. 6. Working knowledge of eLearning tools such as Captivate and Adobe Connect. 7. Superior written and verbal communication skills. 8. Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization 9. Experience directing the delivery of effective Customer Relationship Management Skills necessary for efficient problem resolution to maximize customer satisfaction. 10.     Principal Accountabilities
    Participates in the development of an overall strategy to clinical transformation through the use of CIS technology, and participates in development for MHHS. 2. Plans, organizes, and assists in CIS implementations, and the infrastructure required to support these applications, to meet current and future technology needs and supports the business goals and objectives of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System. 3. Identifies opportunities for optimization of processes leading to reduced variation and increased efficiencies. 4. Seeks input from physicians, nurses, and other professionals to identify problems, find and implement solutions, and communicate the findings to the CPCO, CMO and ISD leadership 5. Works to create increased utilization promote adoption and create sustainability of the CIS through multi-disciplinary teams and create an infrastructure for reporting quality information 6. Works closely with the Support Services, Facility Readiness, IS Project Managers, and IS analysts to coordinate the strategic changes determined by the clinical leadership/executive team and IS leadership. 7. Maintains a good communication line between Campus Administration, Facility Departments and Information Services. 8. Supports all requests for Projects, service requests and problem tickets through the established channels in the Division. 9. Assist with provision of high quality technology and change management consulting services. Helps promote data integrity, vocabulary consistency, and optimization of reporting methods. 10. Actively participates with implementation team(s) during installation of new computer functions or enhancements to existing functions which impact diagnostic and clinical areas. 11. Demonstrates and presents system functions and capabilities to visitors and other audiences, presenting the leading edge and comprehensive nature of MHHS systems 12. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization, and serves as a customer resource. 13. Demonstrates successful use of Division procedures when working on project teams, including use of planned agendas, project plans, and minutes of regularly scheduled meetings. 14. Maintains/develops other administrative and communication skills such as conducting meetings, writing and speaking clearly and in a businesslike manner
