Denise Stage McNulty is a leader in nursing professional development and has experience in clinical practice, evidence-based decision-making, adult learning principles, and educational design. She has presented learning strategies, emotional intelligence, resilience, and mindfulness at the regional, national, and international levels. Her model for mindfulness in nursing professional development was published in the Journal for Nurses in Nursing Professional Development in July 2021. Dr. McNulty has completed research on virtual delivery of mindfulness training and employers' perceptions of newly licensed nurses' readiness for practice. She continues to be a lifelong learner in professional development and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience.
