    Hello ANIA Houston Chapter Members,

I hope everyone is doing well! I'm reaching out to this incredible community of nursing informatics professionals as I begin my search for a DNP practicum placement.

About Me: I'm Edward Davis, a DNP student at Chamberlain School of Nursing, currently scheduled to graduate in Spring 2027.  I'm looking to begin my practicum project in early 2026 and am particularly interested in nursing informatics and healthcare technology initiatives.

What I'm Looking For: I'm seeking a preceptor and organizational partnership for my DNP practicum project.  I'm completely flexible with the focus and timeline based on organizational needs and would love to work on projects that align with nursing informatics, such as:

    • Clinical decision support system optimization
    • EHR workflow improvements and usability enhancements
    • Quality improvement initiatives using data analytics
    • Technology integration and clinical process optimization
    • Telehealth program development and evaluation
    • Clinical documentation improvement projects
    • Nursing informatics competency development
    • Data visualization and population health analytics

    Why Partner With Me:

    • Fresh perspective and evidence-based approach to current challenges
    • Additional workforce capacity for specific informatics initiatives
    • Academic rigor ensures a thorough project evaluation
    • Commitment to advancing nursing through technology
    • I'm also an accomplished nursing instructor

I'm open to partnerships across the Houston area, the surrounding areas, and San Antonio, and would be honored to learn from any of your organizations.  If anyone has opportunities or knows of potential partnerships, I'd love to connect!

Feel free to reach out here or contact me directly at Edward.davis@chamberlain.edu or 210-724-5170.

Thank you for being such an inspiring professional community!

    Best regards,

Edward Davis DNP Student Chamberlain School of Nursing
