Toni has been a member of ANIA since March 2018. She had an informatics internship with Teresa Niblett, the chapter president, this past spring. She was interested in joining the chapter to network with other informatic nurses within the chapter. She graduated in May 2018 from the University of Maryland School of Nursing with a Nursing Informatics Certificate. She previously graduated from UMSON in 2008 with a Clinical Nurse Leader MSN. She is currently employed as a Registered Nurse First Assist at Shore Regional Health hospital in Easton, MD.
Her current professional goal is to incorporate informatics in my current job. Toni's hospital is transitioning their EHR to Epic this fall and she will receive training to be the super user for the operating room. Her goal for next year is to find opportunities to gain more informatics experience that can help her make a career change.
A little know talent is that she has learned to perform Reiki. She first took classes to learn how to reduce stress in her life but now she enjoys performing Reiki on my family and friends.
